King David Was Humble

2 Samuel 5, 7, 8

King Saul was stubborn and would not obey God. Then God found David, a man who was humble, obedient, and who often worshipped and praised God. When David sinned, he repented of his sins and prayed to God " cleanse me from my sin" (Psalms 51:2). Because David was humble, God spoke of him as " a man after My own heart" (Acts 13:22). Because David obeyed God, God allowed him to rule as king for 40 years.

Memory Verse

2 Samuel 5:10 (NKJV)
